Welcome! You are invited to participate in a research study under the direction of Associate Professor Karen Kesten of the School of Nursing, The George Washington University (GWU), and sponsored by The George Washington University. Taking part in this research is entirely voluntary. Further information regarding this study may be obtained by contacting Dr. Karen Kesten, the Principal Investigator (PI), at kkesten@gwu.edu or via telephone number (301) 275-5835.

This research project is not under the control of, nor operated, supported, or endorsed by AONL. The research project is the sole and exclusive responsibility of the researcher and/or educational institution or other organization with which the researcher is associated.

Do you participate in the hiring of DNP-prepared nurses or do you work with DNP-prepared nurses? The purpose of this study is to provide more in-depth knowledge about the practice scholarship outcomes of DNP-prepared nurses, specifically as perceived by you as an employer of practicing nurses holding a DNP degree.

If you choose to take part in this study, you will complete an online survey that will take approximately 15-20 minutes to complete. Your participation will be this one-time only. Your responses will be confidential. You may start and stop this survey and reenter any time. The records of this study will be kept private. We will not include any information that will make it possible to identify you as a subject in any published articles or presentations. You may feel some discomfort answering the survey questions. You may refuse to answer any of the questions, and you may stop your participation in this study at any time. Taking part in this study will not benefit you directly; however, your participation will benefit society by providing a better understanding of the outcomes and products of nursing practice scholarship. Educators, employers, and policy makers may be more informed to make decisions on how to support nursing practice scholarship from the study findings.

For questions regarding your rights as a participant in human research call the GWU Office of Human Research at 202-994-2715.

To ensure anonymity your signature is not required. Your willingness to participate in this research study is implied if you proceed and take the survey.
